Snow leopard
The snow leopard is a magnificent animal to see in the wild with their white and grey fur and different black spots all over their body and head. This is made to camouflage them in the snow and help them to get closer to their prey. You only will notice them when you see their pale green and grey eyes looking at you.
Their habitat includes the highest mountain ranges across Central Asia with altitudes up to 20,000 feet. So they have evolved a breathing system to get the correct amount of oxygen in this high altitudes.
The snow leopard can survive temperatures as low as negative 40 degrees. They have a natural coat full of fur to keep them warm in this unwelcoming clime. This mountain ghost has the densest fur of all cats in the World to protect their body from the cold and snow. We are going to display snow leopard coats and jacked made of fake fur that looks like their fur but it is not real.
The tail is very important for balance, acting as a counterweight and it is the longest tails of all big cats helping them to hunt wild animals in steep rugged environments. They can change the direction and pivot when they are chasing their prey without and error.
We have research about the snow leopard future and we found out they are in extinction because they are around 8,000 wild snow leopard in the world and due to climate change the snow leopard is getting closer to villages to hunt their sheep and cows provoking a conflict between them.
